Dr. Asmeret Andebirhan Birhan is a Psychiatrist who began her practice as a clinician and healthcare leader in 2010. She has been active in Clinical care, Mental Health, Innovation and Leadership in both public and private set ups. She has led new mental health interventions with significant impact to the community notably the establishment of the first and to-date the only substance rehabilitation center in the country.

In 2015, she established her own company, Lebeza Psychaitry Consultation PLC, which provides Mental Health Consultation services and runs a Psychiatry Clinic. A vibrant and passionate clinician, Dr. Birhan has exceptional communication skills that has enabled her to be the psychiatrist of choice for domestic mega corporations and international organizations such as IOM and the US Embassy. Dr. Birhan is the current a member of the Italian Neuropsychiatry Association and a board member of the Ethiopian Travelers’ Health Screening Providers Association.

A psychiatrist who worked in the northern region of the country as a front line psychiatrist, Dr. Asmeret established the first and to-date the only exclusive Substance Rehabilitation Center in the country. She is an adjunct faculty at the Department of Psychiatry, St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College (SPHMMC.) Her inclination is in Addiction Psychiatry.

Vice CO, Psychiatrist

Worked as a consultant psychiatrist at the Department of Psychiatry, St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College (SPHMMC.) Apart from her immense clinical expertise, Dr. Alemtsehay has a great deal of experience in teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students Medicine and Psychiatry respectively. Her inclination is in research and Neuropsychiatry.

Dr. Emmanuael Asrat

Psychiatrist

A consultant psychiatrist with a three year experience working with people with several kinds of mental illnesses. I was trained as a psychiatrist in Addis Ababa University in a joint residency program with University of Toronto. I had the pleasure of working at Eka Kotebe, Zewditu, Black Lion, Amanuel and Yekatit 12 Hospital. I earned my Medical Degree from Bahir Dar University and worked as a GP for one year.

Markos Tesfaye is a Professor in Clinical Psychiatry with a huge experience in policy and system designs of Mental Health in developing countries. He has published more than 60 articles on high impact factored and reputable international journals. Prof. Markos is the founding chair of the residency program in clinical psychiatry at the Department of Psychiatry, St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College, SPHMMC.

Lebeza psychiatry clinic is located at the heart of Addis Ababa on the road from St.Urael Church to Capital Hotel where it runs outpatient services and inpatient admissions in a modest and green premises, in an attempt to avail a friendly and calm area for healing and tranquility. Lebeza has seen a steady increase of its patient population over the years with over 2,240 annual outpatient visits and more than 186 admissions every year.
